As the Assistant Program Director, Academy for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Brooke is focused on strategic impact and engagement of University of Maryland students in innovation & entrepreneurship.
As the Learning Experience Designer and Marketing & Operations Manager, Brooke engaged learners in innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland and beyond through human-centered workshops and courses. She created and facilitated experiences using design thinking and lean startup to empower learners to become creative problem solvers. Brooke developed programming that reaches academic and public sector leaders across the region for the Academy’s executive education initiative. She teaches students how to become design thinkers and coach others through the process, dream up creative marketing strategies, and experiment with space as a way to enhance learning experiences. In the realm of executive education, Brooke has managed relationships with several strategic partners, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and NASA, as well as dynamic nonprofits, such as Hope for Henry and LeadingAge Maryland, to design interactive workshops focused on applying human-centered design methods to their respective fields.
