Mike is currently supporting Maryland-based climate tech startups with effective programs, investments, advice networks and events as the Ecosystem Manager for the Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator. 

Over the last 20 years, I have led, designed, advised, and researched entrepreneurship ecosystem programs and policies toward economic growth, social inclusion, and innovation.

• Advising national and local leaders in countries like Vietnam, Egypt, Armenia, and Myanmar to support local innovation, SMEs, startups, entrepreneurs, and investors.
• An early supporter of Cairo Angels, one of the active Angel Investor Groups in Africa and the Middle East.
• Designed 20 different entrepreneurship programs for 7 different international donors, including developing their programs, budgets, work plans, impact indicators, operation, and management structures. 
• Advisor and coach for 45 Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) on their programming, business models, marketing, operations, management, partnership, fundraising  & outreach
• Designed and managed programs that assisted over 4,500 ventures; in some cases, I connected, trained, or coached founders on areas like product development, market engagement, fundraising, growing a team, and business model development.
• Designed and managed programs that unlock capital by supporting investors, developing the capacity of ventures to take on capital, and connecting them with financial organizations.
