A firm grasp of the entrepreneurial process and mindset benefits every person engaged in developing technology. The Minor in Technology Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation prepares students for launching successful technology ventures and bringing life-changing products and services to market. The Minor develops the entrepreneurial mindset and functional skill sets of students to improve their ability to create, launch, and manage technology ventures. Students earn the Minor by completing coursework which may include entrepreneurial opportunity analysis, marketing high-technology products, strategies for managing innovation, international entrepreneurship and innovation, and leading and financing the technology venture. The 15-credit undergraduate Minor is completed from select courses taught by Mtech.
Admission and advising for the Minor is managed by Mtech’s Office of Entrepreneurship Education. Advising questions related to how the Minor courses may count towards degree requirements or other program requirements should be directed to a student’s academic advisor. Students may apply to the Minor on a rolling basis. To enroll in the Minor, students will complete an advising worksheet detailing when they will enroll in each course. Students must apply for the Minor no later than one year before their graduation date. Applicants will be notified of their admission status within 30 days of submission.
