Director, Capital of Quantum

Corey Stambaugh is the Director of the Capital of Quantum, where he is charged with growing Maryland's regional quantum ecosystem. Prior to this role, he was the Chief of Staff of the Physical Measurement Laboratory within the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and a Senior Policy Advisor for the National Quantum Coordination Office at the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy. In these roles, he led activities around workforce development, economic and national security, and industry engagement for quantum information science. Stambaugh has a PhD in physics, and his expertise spans precision measurement, micro-fabricated devices, and mass metrology. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Physics at Montgomery College.
